THE BUSINESS FOUNDATION OPPORTUNITY ANALYSIS
When we carry out of Discovery Analysis with our clients, quite often we find areas of opportunity where the business could leverage good work being done in one area of the business, in another area. Or, we spot situations where certain effeciencies are not being leveraged, or purchasing policies could be brought to bear that will lead to greater negotiation power and therefore cost savings.
It's all about balance. A centrally-managed purchasing system for example, may not work across the board if there are certain local variances that must be taken into account. For example, you may purchase one type of product from one global location and have it shipped to the various different sites you operate in. But, if shipping that product to certian areas is costly, it may not make sense for that area.
It all seems pretty obvious and basic - but businesses today are low on resources and time and high on pressures to perform. These simple decisions fall through the cracks. That's where Business Foundation comes in and highlights areas where improvements could be made and opportunities leveraged.
